Had laptop since 29thFeb 2024 running great until someone somewhere decided to update the predator sense software which is completely broken and doesn't display the fan speeds gpu and cpu temps.

Windows tries to update it all the time but I have to everyday re install version 585. As no updates are under the download drivers option.. Come on Acer.. sort it out.

Optional Windows updates are selected by the user with an alert only to install these if there are issues, you can simply install an older version of PredatorSense if you don't like the latest version. Windows will allow to roll back an update or restore the system to an earlier date, any version any PC brand.

Optional windows updates that each time as I stated with updates turned off it try's to install it.

yet every start up of laptop Predator Sense is broken and does not work being there is a problem with the update that needs to be addressed. so its not a question of if I dislike the newest update its a fact it is actually broken and because of this each time I boot up the laptop I have to reinstall Predator Sense so that I can control fans and see correct temps, being a gaming laptop this is important stuff.

I appreciate the reply but this is not a windows update or a Microsoft store problem it is a Acer software bug, compatibility issue where there no place to put the issue accept here.. even on Acers website looking at drivers it hasn't go the most up to date one showing.

Windows update doesn't typically update non-Microsoft apps, so they shouldn't have done anything with Predator Sense. They will sometimes update the EFI portion of the BIOS though. There is likely something else going on, maybe they did a BIOS update that broke it? Which version of PS is running? What BIOS version are you on?

still issues with predator sense. There got to be an alternative program in place that can control fans and see temps etc. Laptop isn't even a month old and hitting silly software issues.. should of gone for a Lenovo or something.
