Driver download, Aspire One D250
A DVD video in an external drive fails to run in Windows Media Player. An error message from Windows suggests downloading a new driver. In the driver download section of the Acer Web site, the D250 model of Aspire One is not on the list, and a search fails to find it either by model number or by SNID number. Why are no drivers there, and where else can I go to obtain them?
I am running Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3. In the absence of a Help menu, I don't know where in Windows Media Player to look for its version number.

The AOD250 is indeed in the drivers list. Try using just "D250" in the Product Model field.
There are not, however, drivers for an optical drive or a DVD codec available to be downloaded.
Where can the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM driver for a computer be obtained?
