Glidepad//Mouse stopped responding

I cleaned and inspected the pad itself to make sure it is clean and has no debris preventing it from working but nothing I do helps. Can you provide other fixes or can you direct me to the little box on the motherboard that controls the Mouse and Glide Pad?? I have a lot of spares but must know what it looks like, please?

    Try pressing FN+F7 again to turn it back on.

    Thank you SO MUCH! I have struggled with this problem for a week+ and even swapped parts between my spare Acer! Thanks again for your help!

    If your touchpad isn’t working, it may be a result of a missing or out-of-date driver. Updating or reinstalling your touchpad drivers in Device Manager may help solve the problem.

    To open Device Manager, enter device manager in Search on the taskbar, then select Device Manager.
    Update touchpad drivers:-

    Open Device Manager.
    To find touchpad devices, select Human Interface Devices or Mice and other pointing devices, then right-click the device you'd like to update.
    Select Update Driver.

    Reinstall touchpad drivers:-

    Open Device Manager.
    Right-click the name of the device, then select Uninstall device.
    Select Uninstall and then restart your PC.
    Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
