That BSOD error code is the "video tdr failure" code and to guide you in the right direction, TDR is the Timeout, Detection, and Recovery component in Windows. What happens is that the Graphics Display driver for the installed graphics card stops responding. When this happens, windows will stop and restart the driver to fix the problem.

The most common reason for this issue is that the graphics device is being overloaded or used beyond its capabilities
This happens most often when playing graphic intensive games, but can happen with any process that uses a large amount of graphic resources, such as when editing or creating videos.
Some things you can do to avoid these problems:
    a. Make sure you are using the latest graphics device driver.
    b. Manage your time working with programs that are graphic intensive, exit any other programs that might also use a large amount of resources.

I would suggest you to download and Install the latest graphic card drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check.

You can install Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode if there are no Windows 8 compatible drivers.

     Follow these steps:

    a) Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.

    b) Type compatibility in the search box and then press enter.

    c) Click “Run programs made for previous versions of Windows” option from the list appeared in the left side.

    d) Select the drivers and install.

If the issue persists scan that barcode as it will take you to the Microsoft error screen and explain other fixes for this code. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

That is a BSOD error screen that your laptop shuts down the OS to protect the laptop, this BSOD error screen has got an error code or description at the bottom, its a shame that your caption is of such low quality as we can't see the error code or description. Give us more details of that error code and description and then we can give you a solution to why you are getting this BSOD blue screen error.

    Hi,

The error code in attached screenshot appears to be MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION:

VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (nvlddmkm.sys) generally is related with NVIDIA graphics card driver.
