Mouse with W700

I currently own a Logitech Anywhere MX mouse that I use with my laptop.  I would like to use it with my W700 instead.  But....I don't want to use the logitech bluetooth receiver.  With only 1 usb port on the machine un-docked, I would like to use or get a bluetooth mouse that uses the built in bluetooth on the W700.  Is there such a mouse?

Any mouse using bluetooth will work with the w700. The Logitech ANywhere Mouse MX you have is using a (Logitech) proprietary RF signal so no bluetooth Smiley Sad

You dont get a bluetooth mouse for this machine as optional accessory.

I understand I don't get one with the machine.  But the machine has bluetooth drivers broadcasting on it (the keyboard is bluetooth).

So my question is.....what mouse can I buy that will run on that bluetooth "channel" (or whatever it is called)

    Thanks

    Hi

I just want to clarify if the keyboard and the mouse work together at the same time through the W700 bluetooth adapter?

    Thanks

No problem whatsover, I got the latest Microsoft Wedge touch mouse, it's a bluetooth mouse, and use it all the time with the bluetooth keyboard at the same time.

Any mouse that needs a small USB dongle (RF signal) is not the best solution for our W700: the dongle sticks out of the USB port and you basically lose your only USB port.

Thanks for the quick response! One more thing, I am planning to buy the W700, not with the dockstation and the separate keyboard, but with the combined foldable cover+keyboard. That is what I am talking about:

Do you know how long does this keyboard last with one charge, and if it has a backlit of the buttons?

    Thanks again!

I have this cover/keyboard/case. Battery has lasted for over 2 weeks now - I don't turn the keyboatrd off (you can if you want) it goes into sleep mode by itself. However no backlight.

    Thank You!

I am just curious how do you charge the keyboard? I see a micro usb on the left side or is it something else? Do you charge it from the tablet?

The integrated cover/keyboard comes with a short (~25cm) USB cable that can, indeed, be used to charge the keyboard battery from the tablet USB port if you wish.  However, you can charge it with any mobile phone charger that has a micro-USB connector, if that's more convenient for you.

(It's a shame that port is only for charging.  If it were wired for data and used when plugged in instead of Bluetooth, you could use the keyboard on airplanes.  As it is, you'll need to work solely in tablet mode or get a separate wired keyboard for use in flight.)
