Hello to all, Every single time this X203h Acer Monitor goes into monitor standby and I wait about a maximum of about an hour or so then I wake the monitor back up or attempt to at least it usually will power reset the monitor about 2 to 3 different times and then the Acer Splash Screen will appear and then afterwards everything is officially back to normal as a result.. So, I am currently at a loss to figure this out and any help would be most appreciated as well! Anyways, I also think it might be the power cable or possibly hardware related at this point myself!… Anyways, Thanks for listening in advance and have a great day ahead and stay safe also!.

For your inconvenience, it may be an energy saving deep sleep coma polling feature that kicks in when no PC activity detected after a pre-set time in normal sleep. As an added annoyance, pre-set is probably not manually adjustable either. I have another brand model that does the same but with a pre-set of ~3hrs.

Have you tried the monitor on another computer? If so, and it works, the issue is with your graphics settings on your computer. LCD and plasma based monitors often come with a protection circuit that disables the monitor if the synch or refresh rate are beyond it's capabilities. this is to protect your monitor from damage.

Does 'then back to normal status' mean it wakes up UNsuccessfully?

No I mean then it goes back to normal meaning it went back to displaying what it should in other words in my case it would be the lock screen currently on ubuntu 23.10.1 linux OS and before the lock screen it displays briefly the acer splash screen and then so on…

Better see if it shows the same behavior in a Windows environment.

Well, I wish I could. I don't have another windows machine besides my own and even it has a discrete video card that does not support svga or even dvi anymore so I guess I am currently out of luck persay then..

I seriously doubt this vintage monitor can be adequately tested under anything but a WinXP/WinVista era/equipped PC.
