Can I install a ssd on 2 computers? want to upgrade the drive in my Acer Aspire TC 1760.

I want to upgrade the drive in my Acer Aspire TC 1760. The SSD i bought has win11 on it, and I plan to install Linux and get dual boot. My confusion: If I install the new drive on computer A, and that computer blows up, can I install that drive (and win11) on a separate computer? Someone told me, I can only install on one computer at a time, which is my plan, but someone else said I can only install the drive once.

Can i install the drive(with win11) on a second computer and get Win11 even though I initially installed on another computer which blew up?

Swapping an OS from one PC to another depends on whether and who the Win-11 is registered to on each PC. If computer A has your Microsoft account registered to Win-11 and you have a digital license then that is fine, but if you put this Win-11 that has your digital license registered on another computer the next computer is not registered to you and Win-11 won't register with a digital license. The only way to finds out is to try it.

I know that it works with Win-10 as I swapped a Win-10 Pro from my Aspire 5750-2414 laptop to a newer Aspire V5-731 that I bought second hand and swapped the HDD into the new laptop (which had an Intel/NVidia specs) and the Win-10 Pro HDD from the old laptop adjusted its drives appropriately to work within the new Aspire V5-731laptop, its the same with Wi-11. I don't know what the specs of your other computer is but basically a Win-11 boot OS HDD will adjust its drivers to work within a new computer if swapped, the only way to find out is to try it out. As far as the drive is concerned, you can install it into whichever computer you wish. You just have to reinstall the OS for the new computer. Since you are going to be installing Linux on it, it doesn't matter what was on it in the old machine.
