Why does Acer put false information on their product pages? I ordered a laptop based on the specifications advertised on the product page, but received a laptop without these features. Customer service admitted part of the information given is false, but the false information is still there two months after contacting them. Customer service also told me I, as a customer, have to fact check whether the information provided on the product page is accurate or not. Either through contacting customer service to check whether the specifications are accurate, or somehow through a "technical manual"(??). Why does Acer refuse to send me a product that fits the specifications that lead me to ordering the laptop in the first place?

They refuse to offer any form of compensation due to their "disclaimer" saying models differ per region. However, this exact disclaimer also tells you to check the "specifications" tab for model-specific information, which is where part of the misleading information resides. The "specifications" tab also fails to enlighten the user on specifications that differ from the main points advertised for the product line.

We need to know which Swift 16 model you have. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like SFxxx-xxx-xxxx. Can you post a link to the page that gave the specs, and which specs are missing in your model? They have lots of different models with different features for most locales.

The newer model I bought which should be what is advertised is this one (SFE16-42-R5MX):  https://store.acer.com/nl-nl/acer-swift-edge-ultradunne-laptop-sfe16-42-blauw

It lacks less features than the original one I bought. Nowhere in the specifications does it state the webcam is only 1080p compared to the advertised 1440p. It does not say it has WiFi 6 instead of the advertised 7 (though apparently the numbers and letters are supposed to make this clear?). Etc.

The model I got before:  https://store.acer.com/nl-nl/acer-swift-edge-ultradunne-laptop-sfa16-41-blauw

This page does not mention the screen is only 60Hz instead of the advertised 120Hz. It also seems to lack the advertised DCI-P3 colour space as none of the test images/videos worked. They do on my current model fortunately.

The newer model I bought should be the one as advertised according to customer service, but unfortunately, it still is not. Please do not point towards the technical manual. The characteristics and specifications tabs of a product page should contain all the relevant information about a product. Failing to provide accurate information is misleading.

I am looking at the link you provided for the newer model. I don't read Dutch, so I'm using Google translate. I don't see anywhere on there where the webcam is stated to be 1440p. It does show WiFi 6 or 6E, since it specifies 802.11ax, not 802.11be. There are lots of different models of pretty much all Acer products, and different features are included with different models. So I guess what I'm missing is where the 'advertised' specs are?

The "advertised specs" are on the characteristics tab. The region/model specific specifications are on the specifications tab as indicated by the disclaimer. The specifications tab does not mention the webcam to be any different from the main product line. And for the older model nowhere is it specified the screen is only 60Hz as well as the webcam being 1080p instead of the advertised 1440p.

The key points of the Swift 16 as shown in the description as well as in the ad video is the webcam being 1440p. Nowhere in the specifications does it state the webcam is 1080p, yet I received a model with a 1080p webcam. This is misleading advertisement from Acer.
