What happen if I put a 4TB NVMe SSD on my Nitro 16?

Hi, this is very much a hypothetical question (for now), but from what I've read, my Nitro 16 (AN16-41-R5M4) supports up to 2TB of SSD per NVMe slot, but I'm curious. What happens if I put a larger SSD into the slot, for example, 4TB? Assuming there's no problem with fitting it into the MB/slot

Will it:
a) Refuse to work at all
b) Work normally with no issue
c) Work, but only support 2TB out of the 4TB of the SSD, with the other 2TB completely inaccessible
d) Other

This is basically just a thought I've had, when I think of upgrading my system in the future, since I gotta say I'm purely impressed by how this system is performing, to the point that I think the only bottleneck I'll realistically have in the future is SSD storage space

Thanks for your answers!
