Hello guys.
I turned on my Acer Spin 5 (SP513-54N-74V2) and as y’all can see, only a tiny section of the top part of the screen is working.
Can anyone help me please?

Start by forcing a reboot. Press and hold the power button until the system shuts down, release and wait a few seconds for the shutdown to complete, then turn it back on normally. That will usually get you fixed back up if the issue is an app or driver that crashed during sleep. If it doesn't fix it we will need to know first what is displayed before you get the freeze. Does the Acer logo come up OK? Can you get into the BIOS and wander around for a half hour or so without issues? Does windows get to the point where it logs you in before the glitch?

Hi Bill. Thanks for replying. I rebooted it multiple times. The problem is I can’t see the screen any at all to get into the BIOS. The logo probably comes up but because the screen is black, I can’t see it.
    I reeeally don’t know, sigh…

By definition, if the screen stays black the logo doesn't come up. :) So that helps pin it down. Either the screen is defective, the GPU has failed or something on the system has failed before POST can start. Since you get the start of a screen displayed, even though it doesn't look like the Acer logo screen, it's more likely to be the graphics hardware that's failing. If it were the screen itself things would continue with that to bit of the display changing as the rest of the system comes up. Your system is pretty new, is it still in warranty? If so, time to contact Acer support and get a ticket started...

I'm having the Exact same issue as in the original post. Only a tiny portion of the top of the screen is visible with the rest showing vertical lines. I know it's a screen issue because laptop works flawlessly when hooked up to an external monitor via HDMI cable. I tried but can't boot into the bios with the external monitor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated… Thanks

It's possible your issue is with the cable running between the display and motherboard, but those symptoms sound more like a failed display panel.
