I have an acer (customized) XC-895 with this motherboard.

I am trying to calculate how much power my system uses. I know motherboards can take some power, so I was wondering how much power this one takes.

What happened to the original PSU?

Since the board is so small and basic, I'd say about 20 watts.

When choosing a new PSU, you have to pick one that can actually be attached to this motherboard. Most normal PSUs deliver power to the board via 24-pin connector. This one has 6-pin and 8-pin. Your best bet would be to get a replacement from Acer, if your current one is dead.

There might be adaptors that would allow you to use normal PSUs, but you have to look for them yourself.

No worries. I kinda guessed that you were about to do some upgrades. The wattage of your current PSU will limit your options considerably. On Reddit someone said that he had 300W PSU on this same model.

I found the following from this forum in case you will need options.

"Google search the Acer 300watt part numbers are DC.3001B.00A or DC.30018.00 for vendors who might ship to your location. Another user claims this non-Acer 500watt PSU part no. FSP500-20TGBAB has the output connectors that will also work on this model. If it were mine, I'd try to get one of the Acer 300 watt PSUs if possible as they would be more than adequate for the GPU's power requirements."

Since the upgradability is limited tanks to yout PSU and case dimensions, I would look into building a new PC from scratch. Sorry!
