Hi everyone,

I really like the S7 but it only has 7 hours of battery life vs 13 hours on the Macbook Air.

ALSO ISN'T THERE AN EXTENDED BATTERY PACK FOR THE S7-392 LIKE THERE WAS FOR THE S7-391?

    Hello,

With so many different notebooks available on the market it is best to go with what you consider to be the most important attribute of any unit you want to buy.  Do a lot of research regarding specifications and decide after that analysis.

    Have fun shopping.

Hi! There are many brands and possibilities, Also you should check if there will be a better product, Like the R7's and the new model on Europe that will have a 4th gen Haswell (future release). Check the models, and like ThV5k says, do a fully research of the models, check on the internet forums and Google it! You could find some surprises like pros and cons.

    Good LUCK!! Smiley Happy

I have received my S7-392 2 days ago. It's the i7 with 256GB SSD and the 2560x1440 resolution screen, which is probably more energy consuming than the 1080p panel.

It's running now for 9 hours 30 straight, with 15 battery left. In real-life, the battery times are probably more equal to eachother than on marketing paper.

thank you. the variant i mentioned has Haswell inside. the only problem i have with it is the battery life. Any ideas if an extended battery pack comes for this?

lucky! the higher resolutun variant isn't coming to the US. It's surprising to see that much of running time but what was your brightness level? What things were you doing with the computer in that time?

I like bright screens, so it's basically on full Smiley Happy

What I did during the first 2 days:

Install many application, such as Office, Dynamics, Adobe stuff, etc. Copy all my personal data on the new laptop. Running some benchmarks (the SSD's are extremely fast), and work a bit. No gaming or video.

Don't worry about not getting the 1440p option. The 1080p screen is the better choice. I'm running Windows 8.1, and have loads of scalling issues. The screen is perfect, but Windows nor applications are ready for it.
