iconia w700p windows 8 pro tablet - Bluetooth keyboard problems

Happy with my machine except...

The xxxx keyboard loses sync if the machine is left idle for more than a few minutes - and frequently even if it's not left idle. Sometimes I have to turn the keyboard off and on again 3 or 4 times before it starts working again.

Anyone with similar experiences - and hopefully a fix?

i got this acer iconia w700p with bt/kbd.  tablet is working fine. wifi working fine as well.  but the bt kbd never worked. since i opened it from its box, the power led on the kbd never came on.  i tried switching on the kbd, but no success. when i click on bt panel/show bt devices, the kbd is listed, but shown as off-line. even when i connect the charging cable,it won't power up.

updated the wifi/bt combo driver from acer, but no use.  now my question is - the cover has this non-working bt kbd. any ideas on what to do?  thanks in advance for your time n efforts.

My keyboard also gave up after a new windows installation, the same as above.

I believe this is a hardware problem and we may not be able to get the keyboard to work.  Now - the entire case becomes useless, as we have to carry this non-working keyboard, and another separate keyboard outside?  I am trying to get this keyboard out of the case, will update later.  If we can get this keyboard out; the cover can be used at least to protect the tablet.

I checked on Amazon, to see if this keyboard is sold separately.  I did not find any.

    We continue...

I almost never used the keyboard and have a separate case to use it as a tablet. Sill stupid that it doesn't work anynore.

I just checked the acer store on the US site.  The case with the keyboard is sold as an accessory.  See this link:

    acer w700 case with keyboard

But it is costing USD 90.00   Then I am not sure if this item works, even if I buy now.  Becoz, I cannot understand why the bluetooth keyboard that was originally shipped with the tablet never worked???

    Two options:

    1. Probably should wait to see if acer rectifies hardware/ software problems with this keyboard and then buy this as accessory

    2.  Use the tablet without keyboard, without the case.

But this is the only tablet (in this price range) with full corei5 processor/ win 8.   It is as good as a laptop.
