What is this tiny button switch for? Acer Aspire A317-33 Laptop

What is this tiny button switch for? Its accessible through the back cover with a small pin or straightened paper clip.

Its directly behind one of the USB sockets.

    Hi,

    It's the Battery reset button, it will rectify occasional glitch in the system.

    You can repair minor faults by pressing this button through the pinhole after removing AC adapter and laptop turned off.

    my Acer SPIN513-51 has a internal motherboard swich that is pressed when the back cover is properly screwd. If you try to power up the laptop without the cover, it wont start from battery. it only star with power cord plugged. The back cover is designed to press the button when properly atacched to with the screws. If you remove the back cover your laptop only start up if you keep that button pressed. then you ress the start button and the laptop starts.
