Some Keys not working on my acer swift 5 "514-54t" keyboard

I have had this laptop just under 3 years and only recently (last month or so) random keys seem to have stopped working. It started with "W", "Tab","Z" and "Windows" keys being temperamental then eventually stop working Entirely now the "up arrow", "page up" and "shift" on the right hand side have become temperamental. I've checked drivers and cleaned, not sure if there is something else to check before trying to replace the keyboard?

Many thanks

Likely sticky debris (ie, crumbs, hair, dust etc) has contaminated the switches under the key covers.

Use a soft bristle facial blush brush to try to GENTLY dig under the key covers while blowing compressed air to try to loosen and dislodge the debris. You may have to use a tweezers to pull the debris out if hair is mixed in.

Use this keyboard tester to see how you're progressing. Try not to be too aggressive with the brush or tweezers. Replacing the key covers can be difficult if they pop off.

I have Acer Swift 5 and I'm having exactly same issue, no debris stuck, tried resetting, updating drivers and no luck. It's same keys Z W and windows. Slowly the A and C keys are becoming temperamental too.

How did you fix Mihulhill ?

Seems like this is a common problem with same keys affected.

    Thanks Sam

Replace keyboard if cleaning doesn't help.

Thanks. I will buy a new laptop and then fix this with new keyboard and use as a backup. Need to move all my data across whilst it's still working. Don't want to risk it without backup
