CB314 2H ergonomic wirelessmouse charges by plugging in laptop but not holding a charge for long

    I leave it charging for about 3 hours

    If the laptop is turned on while charging for 3 hrs, the charge should last for a few weeks If not, return the mouse to the vendor as having a defective battery for a refund or exchange.

    The USB-A port on your CB314-2H is a USB 2.0 port, so provides less power than the 3.0 and newer ports do. I wouldn't expect a wireless mouse charger would require much more than the 0.5A a USB 2,0 port gives, but that might a factor. Also, remember it doesn't provide power to charge the mouse when the system is off…

    Some laptops must be turned on for port to keep charging mouse. Also some laptop ports can't charge in sleep mode. What brand and model number laptop do you have?

    What model number? For example. CB5-311? CB3-111? CB7-114? Dozens of chromebook model numbers? Hard for me to guess which one you have.

    How long are you leaving it plugged in to charge while the chromebook is turned on?

    Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx.
