usb ports aren't working after windows 7 reinstall

I recently reinstalled win 7 and downloaded all of the drivers for the aspire 5733z but the usb ports aren't working.  Did I miss something?

    Is it possible you missed installing a driver? You may try ordering a set of recovery disks from Acer, since they include all the needed drivers. Please visit our Acer Store and click on eRecovery, or contact technical support in your region.

    Is there any updates to this answer.  It seems to be a pretty common problem.

    If you have loaded all the necessary drivers from http://support.acer.com, and your USB ports are not working, my best suggestion would be to contact Acer service in your region to order recovery disks. They include all the necessary drivers. You could also try running all of the Windows 7 recommended updates, to see if it will resolve any driver issues. If your USB ports still don't work, try loading the operating system using recovery disks, to make sure there is not a physical hardware problem with the USB ports.

    Does device manage show unkown devices instead of a USB sectoion. If so try running the "Update Drivers" and "search the web" for them.
