Your blue screen doesn't give any of the additional details needed to get much deeper into diagnosis, unfortunately. If you also can't boot into safe mode then the solution is likely to be a reinstall. Try getting into safe mode first. If the issue happens in safe mode then it's an issue with the base OS, if it doesn't appear in safe mode than it's a third party app or driver. If you can't get into safe mode hen try booting from a Windows install flash drive and use the Repair option. Try automatic repair first, and if that doesn't work enter the command prompt and try copying your data off before we go deeper.

See if you can press Alt+F10 when the Acer logo shows, if it boots even before that you have to boot with a Windows USB recovery stick. After to press Alt+F10 you will get the Blue Windows Recovery Troubleshoot menu and in Advanced select restore the system to an earlier point or Reset this PC without losing files or do the same with a Windows USB recovery stick. https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1013874/

Show us a picture of the blue screen. Often there is enough info there to figure out what the problem is.

    Good morning,

I have tried the Alt F10 without success.

I have attached a print screen. The reboot is around 2 mn after being connected to the computer, while it is still loading software.

How can I create Windows USB recovery stick ? Will it work if I use another computer ?

    Thank you,

    How can I get a

  • Hi @Nicolas78400 first make sure you have updated Windows from Windows Update.

Have you recently changed any memory modules?

Download and run (it will not be installed and works in online mode) the following Microsoft security utility to detect viruses, trojans or malware:

Also perform the system file checker, open the Terminal (administrator) and type:

    sfc /scannow

Finally, test the disk if it is mechanical, it is not necessary in SSDs:

Also perform the system file checker, open the Terminal (administrator) and type:

    chkdsk /f /r

    All the best.

Thank you everyone. It is beyond my abilities unfortunately. I have asked support from a local repairer who gave me the same remedies as you.
