TravelMate P414-51 - Issue with USB audio cutting in and out with Teams client app

My laptop is TravelMate P414-51 running Windows 10. When I connect the laptop to a USB audio soundbar in Teams client app, the audio degrades as the meeting progresses. Disabling the Intel Smart Sound Technology driver seems to mitigate the issue, but it makes the internal microphone unusable. I've also attempted to update the SST driver to a newer version (10.29.0.7767 -> 10.29.0.9153) and the Realtek audio driver (6.0.9280.1 -> 6.0.9360.1), but without success.

The same issue doesn't happen to other applications and MS support couldn't find anything wrong either. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue?

Yup. Had the same issue. To fix this, we turned off audio enhancements. I had to do this for ALL audio devices. Everything under Recording and Playback. And the same has to be done for person on the other end if they too are using a P414-51.

Right click on the speaker icon in the system tray > click Sounds > then turn off audio enhancements.

Again, do this for all audio devices; inputs and outputs.

This, however, does not fix the same issue we have with Teams to external calls. We can't find a fix for that.
