    Hard reset your Chromebook

    1. Turn off your Chromebook.
    2. Press and hold Refresh and tap Power .
    3. When your Chromebook starts up, release Refresh .

Wait for the orange light to turn blue to show a full charge. If it never turns blue then there is an issue with the battery or charger.

I've just repaired nine C731 Chromebooks and none of them turn blue when charged. Do I have a problem as they all go green when fully charged…..

If the battery is flat (discharged), it will take a hour or so before it is fully charged. Check the battery indicator / symbol, bottom right on the screen to see where the charging has got to or even if it is charging. It should say how much, a percentage. Check it again a few minutes later and see if the number is still the same. If still the same after 1/4 hour, then there is a charging problem.

Odd. The only orange light on those I've done is beside where the power lead plugs in, which is the opposite side to the power ON button.
