Hey, I need help. I have an Acer Nitro 5 laptop and a gigabyte m27q 170hz monitor. When I connect the laptop to the monitor, it says HDMI1 No signal. Is it because my laptop doesn't support 170hz or other problem? Can anyone help?

  • Hi @taamzid try first with the monitor connector called HDMI2.

    Thank you.

Review and this is important that the monitor has the HDMI option selected and not DP.

If the HDMI/DP video input selection is not the problem, try another cable but I don't think it is the problem.

What resolution do you have at the moment and how often do you refresh it? Leave the recommended resolution and if you have a refresh rate higher than 60Hz, try 60Hz first.

    Thank you.

@Alejandro_AC my laptop has a 1050ti gpu but it's disabled now. Display adapter shows Intel HD Graphics 630? Could this be a problem? does the hdmi port on laptop connected to gpu by default?

  • If it could be, why is the NVidia card disabled?
Have you tried activating it yet?
I check that the HDMI input is selected on your monitor and not DP?

    Thank you.

@Alejandro_AC no HDMI is selected. Now, I am going to try with the DP cable and will let you know.

  • Remember that in the monitor configuration, you may have to select the type of HDMI or DP input, I leave you a screenshot as an example since it is not your monitor:

    Thank you.
