I have a Nitro XV272U 27" 144hz 1440p display. I've had no issues with it in the multiple years that I've owned it, however last night a very serious problem occurred. I booted up Dead Island Riptide - Definitive Edition for the first time. For whatever reason, booting up that game made my monitor display suddenly change very dramatically. The contrast has been completely sucked out of the picture. To be clear, none of the monitor settings were changed, nor did I change any settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Rebooting the PC didn't fix it. Unplugging and replugging the monitor into the graphics card partially fixed it until I rebooted it again today and it actually looks worse now than it did initially. I've never heard of a game doing something like this before and am curious if anyone has ever had an issue like this happen to them. I haven't found anything about this game doing this to anyone else.

Here are reference images. The greyed out one is the Acer Nitro monitor that's having the issues. The second is a reference of another one of my monitors that had a comparable image to what I saw on the Acer prior to this issue happening.
