An RTX 3060ti would be a great upgrade for Acer N50-600's GTX 1070, Is it possible to make it work?

Greetings to all!

Due to PCIe limitations on my N50-600, I plan to get a RTX 3060ti. For GPUs above a GTX 1660, an inadequate power supply or motherboard may be the cause of the issue. Is it possible to make it work? Are you able to upgrade your motherboard and power supply?

The 3060 uses almost twice the power. So you need the 500watt power supply part no. DC.5001B.004. The 3060 dimensions are quite a bit bigger at about 278mm long x 131 mm high x 51 mm thick. The 1660 is only 229 x 111 x 35 mm . So get out your measuring stick to see if you have enough room inside to plug it in.

Upgrading your Acer N50-600's GTX 1070 to an RTX 3060 Ti for better performance is possible, but consider these factors:

    1. Check if the RTX 3060 Ti fits your case and if your PSU can handle it.
    2. Ensure your motherboard has a compatible PCIe x16 slot.
    3. Update BIOS and graphics drivers if needed.
    4. Ensure proper cooling and airflow to prevent overheating.
    5. Be aware of potential bottlenecks and software compatibility.

If unsure, consult manuals or get professional help for the upgrade.
