Hello everyone,

I am having a problem with my Swift 1 SF114-32-P6M2. I recently rebooted it to factory settings, starting completely fresh and deleting all data, and since then my SATA SSD (wd blue 3d nand sata ssd m.2 2280) is completely undetected: it doesn't show in BIOS, disk management, PC…

I removed the SSD before rebooting the computer, so I could keep its data, and since I have tried:

  • updating the BIOS to the latest version available.
  • check the health of the SSD drive using the WD software (everything works fine when using a USB adapter).
  • updated Windows and all drivers.

If anyone has any idea of how I could make the SSD work again, I would be super grateful.

I run on Windows 11 and here are my system informations (in French):

Thank you!

    Thanks for the tips!

Turns out, the issue was a bit silly: I had to reinstall the 'controller serial ata standard ahci 1.0' driver and change it to 'SATA'. I have no idea why rebooting Windows 11 changed that setting but I'm glad I found a solution.

Gently rub the gold colored card contacts with a cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol. Then insert in the m2 socket at an angle & press down flat against the mainboard. Then release and remove card. Repeat re-seating card this way without the screw for about a half-dozen or so times to also help clean the m2 socket connector pins.

  • Disconnect the battery as well before reconnecting the ssd. Also make sure the ssd is showing up in the bios info tab and upload a photo.
