Can Acer provide the touchpad drivers for the Predator PT715-51?
The site mentions them on the support page for the device but no longer have them available for download after the site re-design last year

Touchpad devices in Windows10-11 are maintained by Microsoft (precision driver) so uninstall your present Touchpad drivers in Device manager and go online, make sure that internet is working and reboot, windows will install the correct driver.

I appreciate you trying to answer, but this does not work. the default windows 10 touchpad driver does not work for this laptop, and never has. the one from the acer support page did, until they removed it after the website redesign. Also this is not just an isolated issue, if you check the support forums many other PT715-51 are having the exact same issue, which they wouldn't have if Acer would just leave access to the working driver.

The touchpad driver comes from the OS and are installed automatically through windows update, its not like before when laptops had either an Elantech or Synaptics Touchpad driver (see below as Acer does not list its PT715-51 replacement touchpads by those names) , I suggest that you go to this MS guide "Fix touchpad problems in Windows" and see if this will fix your touchpads software issues, otherwise your Predator touchpad has problems like its probably not connected 100% or the touchpads cable is faulty or the actual touchpad is faulty, as there are no symptoms with touchpads failing to work, as they either work or they don't, so check that issue out. If you need replacement parts, then these are the parts for your PT715-51 that you need to check or replace:

yeah, you are just wrong on this one, the predator 700 has a custom glass touchpad and the OS drivers don’t work, and the number of complaints regarding the same model after is re-install leads me to believe it’s not a hardware issue. I looked up the manufacturer of the touchpad, I don’t have the company name handy as I’m afk, but it was neither Elantech or synaptics. I’m pretty confident that this is a driver issue as when the first time this happened, (I had to replace a failing battery) I was able to use the drivers on the Acer support website, ie before they removed them. Stupidly I did not save them so now I am stuck arguing with you

also you obviously didn’t look up the correct model number as that is the incorrect touchpad part

Don't know where you can get this driver, ask Acer within your country if they can get this driver for you as the Acer Drivers & Manuals for the PT715-51 does not have a touchpad driver for the below touchpad. Also, sorry I made a mistake with the above touchpad and just to correct the fault above, this is the PT715-51 G film touchpad that is listed in its SG:
