Hi

I own a Acer Aspire F 15 (F5-573G-71GR).

  1. Please let me know if it is compatible with “Transcend MTE220S 2TB NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4 M.2 2280 SSD”.
  2. I think that the PCIe bus link width is x2 for my laptop but the above SSD is x4 with rated speed of 3,500 MB/s. How much speed will I get ?
  3. Is there any high speed SSD in the market with bus length of x2 so that I may get full speed?
  4. Is there a limitation to the size of the SSD i.e. 1 TB/2 TB which I can use, asking because I plan on buying the 2 TB variant.

    There was a user who managed to install an nvme on an f5-573 with a sixth generation processor, see:

    But also see that although windows has recognized the ssd, the bios seems to have some incompatibility with nvme, as it did not appear in the informatio tab. I believe this happened, because maybe it's a model with a sixth generation processor and maybe a different chipset;

    Now, see that another user who has an f5-573g with a 7th gen processor successfully installed a 2tb nvme:

    Hi @egydiocoelho , @Puraw

    Many thanks for your insights.

    This is just to inform that I was able to successfully install a 2 TB “Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD” to my Acer Aspire F 15 “F5-573G-71GR” and I am getting around 50% of the rated speed.

    My laptop is compatible with PCIe 3.0 NVMe.
