A couple of years back, I attempted to update my GTX 1050 driver using GeForce Experience. However, that ended up causing a blue screen, forcing me to manually install the version of the driver I previously had from the NVIDIA website (
https://www.nvidia.com/download/find.aspx
). I suppose this happened because my laptop uses certified drivers.
Years have passed, and now there's a game I want to play, that requires me to update my GPU driver. Is there any way for me to update my driver, or am I just stuck with the one I currently have because it's the only one that's certified?
I have a GeForce GTX 1050, Intel Core I5, 8 GB of ram, a 64 bit Windows 10, on a Acer Nitro 5 AN515-51 laptop. The current NVIDIA driver that I have is GeForce Game Ready version 436.48 dated 01/10/2019.
