In general, the ability to charge a laptop using a power bank depends on several factors, including the laptop's power requirements and the power bank's output capabilities. USB-C ports, especially those with Power Delivery (PD) support, are more commonly used for charging laptops as they can provide higher power output. USB-A 3.0 ports typically offer lower power output and may not be suitable for charging laptops.

If you're looking for a laptop that can be charged via USB-C or USB-A 3.0, it's important to check the specifications of the laptop you're considering. Look for information regarding power input options and the required power adapter. You may also want to verify the power output of the power bank you intend to use to ensure it meets the laptop's power requirements.

Your USB C port has no Power Delivery capability:
    USB Power Delivery

    No

To try connect a USB charger to your USB C port will damage the PSU/MOBO.

A power bank with the same voltage, amp and DC barrel plug would already deplete after partially charging the laptop battery and therefore is not a viable option.

Thank you, but there must be a work around if I wire my power bank USB C. Say to typical type standard wall plug that I can plug in my laptop charger in too than I should get some current supply. Yes, when I did plug my power bank in to the laptop it started to charge the power bank not charge the laptop/ please explain PSU/MOBO thank you

I think my point is that computer manufacturing companies need to wake up and understand that on grid power supply is now not a given you may have power, you may not. I use my own off grid ferrell solar power systems. I have used Acer now for well I think 15yrs .got sick of other brand's blue screening or smoking themselves. Oh, I should point out that I'm not a greeny i feel that if the greens took power we are more screwed than we already are. But that's just my opinion. I'd just like to see Acer wipe off the oil sludge, stop getting high sniffing LNG and step up. Thank you. Cricky I just read what I just typed, I'm so full of S@!T
