Other apps cannot connect to the internet while playing games

Acer Predator is my first gaming laptop so I do not know if this is a feature of the laptop...
When I play Valorant, or literally any online game, other apps like browsers can not use internet connectivity. It seems to me that this is a feature where it prioritizes games when I am playing. Is there a way to disable this? Thanks in advance!

Try fiddling with Killer Control Centre's options. There's some prioritization option which I haven't messed with yet.

where your Acer Predator gaming laptop prioritizes internet connectivity for games and restricts other apps' access, could be due to a feature called "Killer Network" or "Killer Ethernet/Wireless" that is sometimes included in gaming laptops.

Killer Network is a network optimization technology that aims to reduce latency and improve online gaming performance by prioritizing game-related traffic. While this feature can be beneficial for gamers, it may inadvertently affect other applications' access to the internet.

To disable the Killer Network prioritization or adjust its settings, you can follow these steps:

    1. Locate the Killer Network Manager or Killer Control Center on your laptop. It's usually a separate software application that manages the network settings and priorities. Look for it in your list of installed programs or in the system tray (bottom-right corner of the taskbar).
    2. Open the Killer Network Manager or Killer Control Center.
    3. Look for an option related to application prioritization, bandwidth allocation, or game mode. The specific naming and location of this option may vary depending on the version of the software you have installed.
    4. Disable or adjust the settings that prioritize games over other applications. You might find an option to disable game mode or adjust the bandwidth allocation to allow other apps to use the internet more freely.
    5. Save the changes and exit the Killer Network Manager or Killer Control Center.
    6. Restart your laptop to apply the changes.

By disabling or adjusting the settings in the Killer Network software, you should be able to allow other apps, such as browsers, to use the internet connectivity without restriction while you're playing games.
