Liquid metal applied to CPU only or both CPU and GPU?
About liquid metal (LM) cooling in Acer laptops, any idea where to get a list of such models with details of is the liquid metal applied to CPU only or both CPU and GPU?
Below is such list for Asus ROG .
Below is incomplete information for Predator model.
The Helios 300, as a high-performance gaming laptop, includes only the best, state-of-the-art cooling: custom-engineered 5th Gen AeroBlade™ 3D Fan Technology and the chilling effects of liquid metal thermal grease on an already industry-leading 12th Gen Intel CPU.
LIQUID METAL Thermal Grease
Thanks!

Liquid metal should be applied to both cpu and gpu, but it has to be applied minimally and with no chance of the liquid metal overflowing and/or leaking onto and around the cpu or gpu as if liquid metal spills anywhere under the cpu or gpu or onto any motherboard components or traces, it will be conductive and will cause shortening out of circuitries and destroy components. Welcome @Vincent123a!
Acer (and its partner motherboard manufacturers) already makes such unwilling UEFI/ BIOS firmware, plus installs lousy CPU heatsink radiator heatpipe.
I'm tired of seeing copper heat sinks that don't even reach AMD FCH or Intel PCH.
Imagine if they were forced to apply liquid metal as a thermal conductor. They would certainly go bankrupt! 😂

Hi @StevenGen,
From your chart, the temperature drop after applying liquid metal (LM) is about 5% ~10%.
The process of applying "Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut" seems complicated for me :).
I will not DIY thermal repasting during my laptop warranty period. How about you guys? So I prefer to get Acer laptop that is shipped with LM applied in both cpu and gpu.
However, I can't find such model yet.
Hi @eGomes,
Agree with you that applying LM will increase cost drastically as you can see in the extra manufacturing process in the video below (for ROG model)
