Need some help please.

Acer Nitro 5
N20C1

Like the title says, if flat out won't turn on, even using the charging cord. The cord is my first obvious culprit but even when attempting to use with a 2nd known "good" charging cord it still doesn't have power. I have looked for a battery reset button on the botton but can't see one at all. Any ideas to point me in the right direction will be much appreciated.

Thanks for the tip StevenGen but unfortunately that did not resolve the issue. I am hoping that it is not at the power input / motherboard interface

    Hi @Plus1Hdcp,

Are you getting any light indication when charger is connected.

No light indication. I am beginning to suspect the charger is the culprit. I don't have another 135w charger so I ordered one. Hopefully it will be here in a couple of days and I will know. Thanks.

    Hi @PutridHitman,

May I know the full model name of your unit.

Uhh I’m sorry I don’t remember it right now and I’ve left my laptop to get repaired (hopefully) anyways.

I want to leave this here for anyone else having the problem because I had the same problem and almost sent the unit back.

There is a graphic somewhere not to point the cord up/down but have it run sideways (it is like a keyhole inside and not round). There are 3 raised dots to the left of the power cord connection socket. It was only when I had the cord going in the directions of the dots that it achieved the final "snap" and connected and the blue light went on.

I don't know if it matters left/right, but it cannot be up and down.  This is a huge issue and it seems like a "foreseeable misuse of the product" to put a circular plug in and old way, as with previous power connectors I used.  Acer really needs to highlight the importance of this or, better yet, put some permanent kind of message near the power cord connector.
