Hi i have the same laptop issue with my secondary machine but i cant reset my pc it says '' unable to reset your pc ''
i cant take it apart as i have no skill
please help
I suggest you ask a new question.
hi, I got into the same issue some days ago, everything happened when I used a drive partition wizard manager in windows and what it did was:
Shrinked the drive (while the system is rebooting), so that I can get some extra space to install linux.
And as soon as everything got done, came back to see the acer logo. Doesn't move a bit.
So I thought I'd just power off and on and then access the bios, but this isn't working anymore, non of the usual functions keys work, I just can't get to the bios anymore
I was sure that it's the ssd(the nvme, default one that came with the laptop) causing the trouble, so I removed the ssd and restarted the device, it got into bios.. but inserting the ssd back while the bios is on isn't making the bios detect the ssd.
So I'm basically stuck, is there any way to reset this SSD?
My laptop is Acer one 14 Z2-493
I don't care about the files, I just want to access the bios and reinstall windows. For this I need the sssd to be detected in bios and the bios to be accessible while the ssd is in.
Try disconnecting the lithium battery, hard drive and SSD. Then check if the problem persists:
