I recenly bought an Acer Aspire V3-571G-9435 Laptop and it is owrking perfectly; However, i have noticed a very annoying problem whenever i connect the laptop to my external lcd monitor via the VGA port. The external lcd monitor, which works properly when hooked to my PC, starts to show an annoying flicker when i connect it to the laptop.

NOTICE :

1- The flicker increases when i start to move the mouse, something that is very strange.

2- It shows the flicker with or without the ac cable is plugged in the laptop, Also i tried to turn of any source of electricity near the screen with no luck.

So can someone help me fixing that problem and figure out why it is happening with a brand new laptop, is it because of faulty vga port or what ?

Have you tried a different VGA cable? Do you have another monitor you can hook up to see if it has the exact same problem? If it does, I would recommend you contact Acer support for your region to inquire about setting your unit up for service.

I have the same problem! I used different VGA cables but the flickering is only on my 21.5 inch SyncMaster B2230. On an old SyncMaster 710MP i see no flickering. I have no idea but i really want to use the b2230 as master monitor but its impossible with the flickering/lines
