On my laptop Realtek audio console software microphone not working correctly. Especially the inbuilt microphone controller because there are three options to choose from in this Realtek software and only the off option(options - all off, uni-directional, omni-derectional) can I record any audio as input in other options cannot record or get any kind of input by the microphone. Is it a normal situation or not?

RTK Console on my Aspire5 laptop (and many other laptops) only controls the onboard speakers, mike and RCA phone jack is completely controlled by Windows, while your BT adapter driver with Windows audio control BT headsets and external BT speakers. So anything to do with your onboard speakers use RTK Console, if you want to test, amplify or mute your mike use the Windows Sound menus. if you plug-in a wired headset with a mike a Windows menu pops up and select what you are plugging-in and use Windows Sound menus. Acer's 3.5mm RCA phone jack is finicky and try a different headset plug/adapter (see picture) if you have an unresponsive mike or if Windows shuts down when you unplug the jack.

If your Realtek microphone is not working, it's highly likely that you have an outdated audio driver. You can test with another device with a microphone to establish whether it is a problem with just your Realtek mic
