Hello,

Is there any way to make my equipment work faster? I know it's a little old, but I also only use it for basic purposes (Email, Browser, social networks/media, etc). It is currently on version 5.1 on Android, it is not possible to upgrade to a newer version Marshmallow (Android 6.0) will help using an sd card with flash driver and flashing the ROM.

Not really, your speed is gated by both the hardware (and your tablet is several years old, so not even close to modern hardware) and your usage. If they had done a newer OS version, it would likely have run slower on the new one, since the version is targeted at the hardware available when that version was released. So Android 7 really wants newer and faster hardware than Android 6 did.

To improve the performance of your Acer B3-A20 tablet, try clearing cache and app data, uninstalling unnecessary apps, disabling background processes, updating system software, using a lightweight launcher, avoiding live wallpapers/widgets, reducing animations, maintaining storage space, restarting regularly, and as a last resort, performing a factory reset.

Yes, there are several steps you can take to potentially improve the performance and make your Acer B3-A20 tablet work faster.

    Some suggestions:

Clear cache and app data: Over time, cached data and accumulated app data can slow down your device. Go to "Settings" > "Storage" and look for options to clear cache and app data. This can free up storage space and potentially improve performance.

Uninstall unnecessary apps: Review the apps installed on your tablet and uninstall any that you no longer use or need. Having fewer apps can reduce resource usage and make your device more responsive.

Disable or limit background processes: Some apps and services may run in the background, consuming system resources. Go to "Settings" > "Apps" and review the running apps. Disable or limit background processes for apps that you don't require to run constantly.

Update system software: Check for system updates regularly. Manufacturers often release updates that include performance improvements, bug fixes, and optimizations. Go to "Settings" > "About tablet" > "System updates" to check for any available updates.

Use a lightweight launcher: Consider using a lightweight launcher or home screen replacement app from the Google Play Store. These apps often provide a simplified and faster user interface compared to the default launcher.

Avoid live wallpapers and widgets: Live wallpapers and widgets can be visually appealing but consume system resources. Consider using static wallpapers and minimizing the number of widgets on your home screen to reduce resource usage.

Disable or reduce animations: Animations can make the user interface feel smoother but can also impact performance, especially on older devices. Go to "Settings" > "Developer options" and reduce or disable window and transition animations to make your tablet feel more responsive.

Keep storage space available: Ensure you have sufficient free storage space on your device. A full storage can slow down your tablet's performance. Delete unnecessary files or move them to external storage if available.

Restart your tablet regularly: Restarting your tablet can help clear temporary files and refresh the system. Consider restarting your device at least once a week to maintain optimal performance.

Perform a factory reset (last resort): If you've tried the above steps and your tablet is still sluggish, performing a factory reset can give it a fresh start. Remember to backup your important data before doing a factory reset, as it will erase all data on your device.

Please note that the performance improvements may vary depending on the specific hardware capabilities of your Acer B3-A20 tablet.
