3 year old Acer Aspire

Hi.  I have a three year old Acer Aspire notebook.  It came with Windows Vista Home, but I had it upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit.  It recently crashed and I had to have windows reinstalled with a clean install.  Can anybody tell me if Acer makes a rescue or install disk for this?  Windows put in generic drivers for everything but I'm missing the acer stuff.  I've downloaded all applicable drivers but I'm not sure how to install them.

Seeing that I'm not using the operating system the computer came with is there any help out there for this?  Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

It seems that we are asking the wrong type of question, mine being a little way behind you.

Without any help Im going to do a clean install and use the driver disc that I made to update

all the drivers once thats done.

I dont know if that will be the same situation for you, but its a start only wish I could help more.

What you need to do for a clean instal is to first get the Acer recovery disk and reload "stock".

To order go to https://store.acer.com/store?Action=DisplayDataValidationServicePage&Locale=en_US&SiteID=acerna and enter the SNID on the bottom of the case.

Next go to http://support.acer.com (country of choice), select "Drivers aand Manuals", enter your computer and download the latest drivers/etc. Load it.

Then perform your upgrade to the OS of choice. That way all of the original/latest drivers will be installed and can be updated.
