Yeah I decided this time around since I exchanged my 32 gig for the 64 gig version that I'm sticking with the 1.0C BIOS/Firmware and not playing lab rat to jacked up untested software Acer has been throwing out

Mine was 1.0C when I first bought the 32 gig a year ago and stupidly assumed that when the update appears to update ( being used to windows updates and programed as a consumer ) not know that once you updated with a half baked firmware/Bios Update there is no going back .....at least that was reported from ACER Tech Support and mentioned on here over a year ago ....and only if you sent it back to Acer would they reset it and even that wasn't set in stone from all reports. so this time around I choose to take back my tablet to Walmart swapped it out and when I got home realized they gave me the 64 gig in its place lol ..no complaints as I first paid 499.99 for the 32 gig 1 year ago and the 64 gig are currently selling for 799.99 here in Canada plus I got the dock station for free so no 145 cost hit ....So I'm startig new with my 64 gig model as of 3 weeks ago and will never update it ..Acer's support is lacking ...they even argued with me there was no SIM model of the W5 ( W510 ) ....which there is it was realeased in the U.K

There isn't, it was the W511.

BTW if it wn't boot past the BIOS you will need a recovery drive (32GB should have come with 2 CDs and a DVD).

there a least 4 skus of the W510 one of which takes a sim card. Same as the W511 there are a few skus one of which takes a sim and the others dont. My point was Acer support was North American and unfamilar with the product line let alne realize Acer didnt carry the sim version W510 or W511 in North America
