Uncertified G-sync display detected on my 2023 Helios 16 , anyone having the same issue?

    OK. Let me ask the question another way. Other than the error message when it's set to nvidia, what is the problem with the game performance?

    I have played Halo and Forza Horizon 5 on the machine. The difference I can see clearly is the sharpness and brightness. It looks much better when it's set on NVIDIA. When it's set on Optimus, it is much darker, the texture on forza especially, didn't look as good.

    So, other than the download error message, are you saying there in fact is no problem or error playing the game when set to nvidia?

    I don't think I can say 'no problem' to it, like I said, the graphics looks different.

    Acer has contacted me and they offer to repair / replace the machine.

    Yes, you said brighter and sharper. So I assume you like it better with it set to nvidia with the download error message than optimus without the error.

    As I said before, I seriously doubt anything's wrong with your hardware. It's a Halo game software bug. If it was my machine, I'd set it to whatever seems best to me for playing the games and ignor any error. But it's not mine. So you have to decide whether or not you'll be more comfortable sending it in to repair or replace for a hardware problem that may not even exist.

    Update on this :

    Acer has got back to me about my Helios 16 issues. They said this is a software problem ,and so far, they have been unable to fix it or can provide an update at this time as other Acer Helios 16 machines have the same problem. It leaves me with the only option on gaming, it's to use the Optimus mode or Auto mode ( with the error message displayed on the screen ).

    It kinds of suck really , not being able to use the laptop for properly for gaming ,with the NVIDIA GPU setting.
