I have bought an Aspire 3 laptop. A315-23-R1AD. The 5400 rpm hard drive is really slow. I am looking for an SSD upgrade. What SSD slot does my laptop have? how do I find it out?

Your laptop's mainboard has an m.2 SSD socket that will accept either an NVME card or a SATA card up to 2TB. The NVME card should be about twice as fast as a SATA card. You also have the option of replacing the 2.5" HDD with a 2.5" SSD. The Western Digital Blue series NVME cards, SATA cards and 2.5" SSD should work well in your laptop. 1TB drives are about the best deal right now all priced about $90 from places like Amazon.

    Hi @Moon5555,

    Your Aspire 3 (A315) features an М. 2 2280 NVMe PCIe slot and a 2.5-inch SATA-3 HDD/SSD slot it can accomodate M.
