Hi, how can I get back to the original start up screen to select the language for the chrome book, mine has defaulted to Vietnamese and I need to change it to English

    Mine has done the same thing!  except it's Lithuanian language.  It's driving me crazy trying to translate the directions to change it back to English and I haven't suceeded yet.  There must be an easier way and I will be checking your post for an answer....good luck..

    From your user icon at bottom right of the screen (after you are logged in), click on Settings (the 'wrench' icon is on the left side next to the 'Settings' button). This will bring up a chrome page.

     

    OR: open the chrome browser, and in the URL (web address) field type: chrome://settings

     

    Scroll down to Users where you should see your own picture or avatar image. Click on the blue text:

    + Show Advanced Settings

     

    Scroll down again.

    The fifth heading below will be: Languages, below which there is a button: Language and input settings.

    Click that, and if English does not show, cick the Add button, and scroll down the list to select your (new) defaut language.Smiley Very Happy
