Just got new recovery and system disks and they don't work...

acer aspire 5336-2425 win7 home premium, ??  

 

just bought and received new recovery and system disks and they don't work.  I need to call acer but it appears they make it impossible.  Lost my $20????

 

System disks seems to work, it deletes HD, then says insert Recovery disk, then get the error message, insufficient space on disk for temp files....

 

I Google this error and many search results come up but none have solutions!  

 

Any suggestions,

    If you just purchased recovery media, please do contact who/where you purchased them.

    We need to ensure that there is nothing wrong with the media and get you working media for your system.

    and I've tried 8 different approaches and still cannot update to serv pack 1 when I use windows update.

    There is nothing in our factory load that prevents the installation of Service Pack 1.

    Please be sure that you have downloaded and installed all other necessary updates prior to attempting Service Pack 1.

     

    Are you getting a specific error?

    yes, I did that right after restore, went through all updates until it got stuck at SP1 plus 8 other updates.

    Try to install the 8 other updates FIRST and then install the Service Pack by itself.

    I have, tried one at a time, all together, sp1 alone, all combinations. I was never asked by operating system to enter the ms security code, I did go into a ms website where it was supposed to qualify the activation and it said win 7 was activated.

    OEM preloads should not require activation.

     

    So, you're saying that NONE of the Windows Updates will install right now?

    Can you please list:

    • the error message that you are getting
    • which updates are listed

    I'm at work now but can say the error code is 8007000D, I'm not able to post the other 8 updates other than sp1, until this late afternoon. what's odd is there are times it says the 8 were load but then doing a second check it says no.

    FYI: I've performed another total restore, wiped harddrive, etc.  Now I'm going to, update, before I load anything third party nor make any changes. Pure restore and going into updates.

    Got to the near end of restore and same thing happening as first first restore attempt.

     

    Had a window which said, Software Installation, your software is being installed. Please connect the power cable and do not turn off.

     

    Then after 5 minutes it appeared nothing was happens ng so I touched the finger pad and a message flashed very fast that said something about acer alaunchX not responding, then another second screen appeared, System Preparation Tool, enter system out of box experience (oobe) and shut down option,  reboot.

     

    Plus McAfee is at same time saying my computer is at risk,

     

    The first window is faded but visible. 

     

    All this occurred first restore but I rebooted all seemed fine except a two minute icon shows do during star up until several updates sequences went thru.

     

    Also, A fatal error while trying to sysprep the machine.

     

    I've rebooted twice now and each time system Preparation Tool 3.1 fatal errors, and each timeduring reboot it says it's running for first time.

     

     

    Can I have my money back and you need to send a postage prepaid return for the disks,
