Can any one comment if they utilize the ACER website (for their specific laptop or Desktop) to download ACER updates. Currently, i have two ACER computers one laptop and the other a Desktop and I am running the most recent version Windows 11 Home edition. While I receive on a regular basis the automatic updates via Window Update and defintion required to keep the W11 current; I often go to the ACER website to review whatever update, download is currently available for download for my specific computer. Does anyone actually download from ACER or just rely on the W11 Windows update. Recently, I received an update from INTEL for my Graphics, Wireless and Bluetooth and it recommended that i look at to see if my computer is ready for ARC. Can anyone comment.

Windows11 22H2 when fully up-to-date does an excellent job maintaining your drivers and firmware (BIOS), I no longer download anything from Acer Support. Older model PCs upgraded to W11 sometimes get an incompatible BIOS version offered by W11 update, so be aware of that (if no issues don't touch your BIOS). When I had W10 and issues with my Intel GPU driver I downloaded the latest version from the Intel site that was not available on Acer's Support site. Both my Network and BT drivers are updated by Intel via W11. When it concerns Network and BT it is perfectly safe to update drivers with W11 (Update process), when you have legacy GPU and CPU's (not original W11 devices) I would skip the offered updates unless you have a problem (same with BIOS).

I typically use the Acer support site for drivers only when doing a clean Windows install, where some drivers might not be included int he package. Otherwise Windows Update does a good job, and Intel's Driver and Support Assistant gets me the latest even before WU offers them.

Open https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers in your browser. Step 2. On the Drivers and Manuals page, you can enter your device serial number, SNID, or model number to find your device. You can also select your device in the product selection area.

Note that that answer only works if you are working with a USA machine, for other locales you need to go to the appropriate Acer site.
