Unable to power on my laptop Acer spin 314-54N-36GW, power light in red color blinks once in each 10 seconds while on charging and same by pressing the button also. I tried to rest battery by insert pin through the bettery rest hole. Nothing works. Any can halp in this regard?

    Hi @ghauree19

As the pin reset method didn’t work, try the discharge method with the power button depressed, but this involves opening your laptop: Open your laptop, disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard and press and keep the power button depressed for 2 minutes (uninterrupted) to completely discharge any stray/static charge on the MOBO. After 2 minutes reconnect the battery again and try to power up. If that also failed I would consider getting a new battery, your charger seems OK as the lights are on.

    Thank for your response,

Now the status is different, I put my laptop on charging for more then an hour and now orange light turned into blue but still unable to power on, seems like there is no functionality of power button

As a last resort you could try to power up without the battery, some models can run on the power adapter only, that could confirm a bad battery: Disconnect the battery again and plug in the adapter then press the power button.

ow that you have it charged fully we can assume the charger and battery are working. That leaves the power button itself as a likely culprit. On your SP314-54N the power button is on an IO daughter card that is connected to the motherboard with a ribbon cable:

If there is a little corrosion on the contacts of that cable you might see symptoms like that. If you are comfortable opening it up, try reseating the cable a few times, maybe with a wipe with alchohol to try and clean them. You can also look for any physical damage at the same time.
