System does a hard reeboot suddenly and I could not pinpoint anything specific. It occured plugged in and unplugged; it occured when doing minimal taks, not necessarily when many processes were active. Laptop is a Swift SFX14-41G. Anyone experienced the same?

    (1) Search 'cmd' in Windows start menu.
    (2) Right click command prompt near top of menu.
    (3) Click run as administrator.
    (4) Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport' at command prompt.
    (5) Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer.
    (6) Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser.
    (7) Post screenshot of the first part of the report if possible that compares design full charge capacity with its remaining full charge capacity.

    (8) Also scroll down through the report to see if there are any charge/battery events immediately preceding the power loss events.

Two power outages afternoon. Also coinciding with battery charge level dropping to 10% earlier in the day. Might be related. Check Acer Care Center in the Windows start menu to see if you can get a plug-in alarm at 20% instead of 10%.

Thanks JackE; but I might not always be able to plug in at over 20% battery, if on the go.

Do you have any idea if/how I can get Acer to diagnose it and repair/replace?

Is it still within warranty period? Standard warranty is 1 yr. Go to this link. Choose country where purchased (S. Click support link near top of country page. Enter the machine's serial number id (SNID) and arrange for warranty service using the chatline, phone number provided.

You can also try to recalibrate the battery charge controller just in case it's off by following these directions.
