    Hi,

Your model has PCIe 3.0x2 M.2 slot, it means only 2 lanes are enabled for PCIe, so you will get around half the speed advertised by Samsung, you will get roughly 2500 Read/2200Write speeds(have a look at the link)

    Hi @Gaurav007896

Have you considered a (cooler but slower) SATA SSD?

Have exactly the same laptop, bought in Manila end 2019, with only a SATA mechanical HDD, no PCIe SSD. The Seagate HDD slowed down too much and I considered last year to replace the HDD with a 1TB, V-NAND Samsung 870 Evo 2.5" SATA SSD ($90). I checked with several Acer technicians (The Philippines, Taiwan HQ and Acer US) but no one was willing to recommend this Samsung SSD for my SATA interface, they all stuck to the tested PCIe solution so I decided to buy a $35 Toshiba L200 “spinner” with 150 MB/s speed (latency 100.591 ms). Fast enough for me as I am an average user (no games).
