so today i got my 2x16 crucial in the mail, i now have 4x16 sticks all matched, and let me tell ya the performance is insane im really impressed, it also runs at 4000mhz unlike when i had 2x16 crucial mixed with 2x8 samsung that ran at 2000 mhz so that clears that up, and i know 2 sticks runs at 4400mhz but no way its faster than 4 at 4000mhz and i tested to see, i ran mark3d bench-userbench-cinebenchr23, the score from mark3d was about 300 hundred lower i dont know why ill retest and thats not really a big deal but the other 2 were alot faster than when i tested 2x16 at 4400mhz or 48 at 2000 mhz, so then im like well im not sold on bench testing i think its all hogwash myself, these ppl get paid to pollute our minds with meaningless bs, ive seen the videos and im not convinced so i went and played Days Gone for 3 hours, to me playing our favorite game we have hours upon hours playing we would notice and see changes so if ya havent ever played or seen the game go watch the trailer on steam u may like it and get it i have 660 hours on it haha, OMFG is all i can say, i was hitting almost 200 fps at max settings and when i was at 32 or 48 gigs that max setting ran at 80-100 fps i had to use a lower quality preset to get 100-120@1080p. so there ya go i truely believe 4 is better than 2 and that 64 blows away 32 etc.

Bench testing is crucial in finding best system configurations, but testing must be done methodically and precise. You need to use one setting in a benchmark program for all tests,it cannot vary.Do 3 runs of said benchmark and find the average.Switch out components you wish to test then re-run the exact same test with zero different variables, run 3 runs and record the average. There will be very little difference between the 3 runs but that's how it's done correctly.Pretty simple stuff, and you have a ‘real scientific conclusion’

i took out the hdd cage today and cleaned everything up ill play my game later to see if it helps with the added airflow now i also installed this as a recommendation from another member.

ok, i just played a little over and hour of Days Gone, the gpu on average was 3-5C cooler without the hdd caddy blocking the lower fan, im getting a 200mm noctua fan to put down there to see if it helps the cpu and gpu at all, and i used the thermalright paste that came with that new bracket and it keeps my temps the same as the noctua nh-1 paste i may try the nh-2 noctua paste next but im not sure how much lower a better paste can get the cpu temps with this air cooler but im going to try haha.

and quick420 i get it and i think imo playing the games tells me more than any benchtest would with my pc and what i have in it and the settings i am using. but i appreciate the input its all good and accepted so ty buddy. i listen to everything everyone here tells me and i take it all into consideration.

ok, i redid the 3d mark test and the other ones after doing more upgrades, and i took all 4 sticks out and re-arranged them, maybe when i added the second 2x16 i didnt have them seated well enough who knows, and i got better results my highest scores to date on all 3 tests !!@!!

I just ordered another kit of Kingston value ram ddr4-3200cl22 jedec 1.2 volts will have 32gb total on friday.I'm mixing a kit of the Kingston VR 3200 with a kit of 2666 cl19 right now and it's working very well,it downclocked the KVR to 2666cl19 which was expected.16gb is enough for gaming but 32gb seems to be smoother somehow, and with ddr4 so cheap, why not?

yeah when i was using 2x16 from crucial and the 2x8 samsung that came with my 5000 it ran at 2000 now i have 4x16 crucial and it runs at 4000 and if i just run 2x16 from crucial it runs at 4400 makes no sense lol and yes i noticed the more ya have the better benchmarks are and my games and fps fly now so im happy heh and im maxed at 64 gigs of ddr5
