HELP - Won’t shut down after update and sounds as though it will take off

Has anyone encountered this issue before? First problem I have had. Clicked on an update and shut down and stuck on this screen, fans are going mental too.

that has seemed to work thank you so much, will I just wait until 100% and do updates?

Do a Hard Reset, turn the Nitro laptop off completely, take the back cover off, disconnect the main battery and take it out completely, disconnect the bios (small black) battery and take all ram out, leave all components disconnected for 15min and reconnect all, if you have 2x ram modules, boot laptop with only one ram module connected and see if the laptop boot normally, if it does then put the other ram module in also. Let us know if this does not happen and what happens after the hard reset.

Thanks Steven, tried that and it the red keyboard start up happened, then displayed this message, please wait while updates complete then reverted to original picture screen as shown.

how old is your laptop? is it brand new?
go to Acer service center immediately if it is under warranty

I guess that's a factory defect, you can avail the warranty
is the laptop you have was already displayed on the store or out from the box when you bought it?
did you bought it online?
did the laptop fell accidentally?
did you put many things aside from the laptop in its carrying bag?

I bought in from Currys store, it has literally been amazing, clicked update and shut down. It has 100% battery when I shut down then won't turn back on, red battery light fault.

If you bought this Nitro laptop on the 26th December 2022 then your laptop is covered by Acer by a 12 months warranty and until 26 December 2023. Take the laptop to Acer as your laptop is under warranty, don't do anything else to it as this is a battery charging issue that you can't fix, Acer will replace your motherboard and refit the boot drive and all your drives so that you don't lose any data.
