Upgrading the ram and SSD in Acer Aspire A715-41G myself

Hi

I bought an Acer Aspire A715-41g in 2020. It came with 8gb of ram installed and 239 GB SSD, but I am now looking to upgrade the ram and storage. However, I have never upgraded ram or storage in a laptop before and I'm not entirely sure of the process. Is it an easy process that could be done at home or should I take my laptop into a computer repair shop?

Thanks!

Your Aspire A715-41G has the following specs for memory and M.2 drives. With the rasm its best if you do the Crucial System Scan for your Acer Aspire A715-41G RAM upgradesas as there are newer ram upgrades to the oem Acer memory specs below for your laptop below.

    M.2 2280 SSD DRIVE

The Aspite A715-42G takes an M.2 form factor 2280 SSD Drive and its a type PCIe Gen3x2 drive which has a limit of read/write speeds of 2000MB/s, so getting a high end PCIe 3 x4 M.2 drive will be a waste of money.

Get a reasonably priced and good M.2 pciE 3 X4 drive like the 1TB WD SN-530 M.2 drive (that is ALSO used by Acer as an OEM M.2 drive for their laptops) as this drive has a max read-2400MB/s and write-1950MB/s and its the perfect M.2 2280 SSD drive for your older laptop, as even the WD 1TB SN570 M.2 SSD drive is an overkill at read-3500MB/s and write-3000MB/s speeds as your laptop will never ever be able to use these speeds.

Thank you for your help, especially with the SSD drive! Would I be able to replace them myself, or do people normally buy the new ram/ ssd and take it a computer repair shop? Many thanks
