Is someone able to confirm for me please if Windows Hello Facial Recognition is available on Acer Aspire A715-74G? I have recently had to re-install Windows 11, and I ‘thought’ that I had facial recognition before (although never used), but I'm not 100% sure if I ever had it. I currently do have Hello fingerprint and Hello pin capability.

I keep getting the message “This option is currently unavailable”.

Thanks

    Hi @ThailandAnge

Windows Hello face authentication utilizes a camera specially configured for near infrared (IR) imaging to authenticate and unlock Windows devices as well as unlock your Microsoft Passport.

I checked your model on the web (Acer specs and reviews) and there is no mention anywhere of an Intel RealSense camera.😐️
I have an Aspire5 515-54G and the webcam is very basic (non-IR), not compatible with Windows Hello.

Ok. Thanks for that. It must have been my imagination (or wishful thinking). Appreciate being put straight.
