hello,

since i purchased the laptop I am having several issues and not sure if laptop or windows 11 issues .. maybe drivers?

  1. When i close the lid, and when I open i notice it actually shut down and not sleep and need to reopen everything
  2. Sometimes when i open the laptop, i can't see or connect any Wi-Fi networks, and need to restart
  3. Sometimes when i open the laptop, the USB and Bluetooth don't work, I go to device manager and need to uninstall USB driver which has ! issue , and then restart
  4. Sometimes when i close the lid, the youtube or music plays while the lid is closed although my settings say it should go to sleep when lid is closed

note: I did install a 16GB RAM extra Kingston (see screenshot attached), not sure if that has anything to do with it.

thank you.

    Hi @greeno

    About your new DDR4:

Not sure why your Slot#2 (Samsung DDR4) states Single, are you running Dual Channel, check what Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+ Esc) says for speed (should be much more than 1600 Mhz). Also open in elevated mode (open as administrator) the Command Prompt and type:

wmic MemoryChip get Banklabel, Capacity, Configuredclockspeed, Devicelocator, FormFactor, Manufacturer, Serialnumber, Speed

Compare the two DDR4 models if the specs are identical, Never mind the different brands, but all the other specs must be identical for Dual Channel.

About your W11 issues: Do a System Restore to an earlier point (Create a restore point in Control Panel).

    Hi @greeno

You won't get Dual Mode (2x the speed) with 2 different DDR4 sizes (8+16GB), it will use 1600 Mhz only.

Don't need to create a restore point, just go to the Restore option in Windows and select “Restore to an earlier point”. Windows will have created restore some points automatically in the past unless you turned this Safety feature off?
